Evans is originally a seafarer by profession and served as a Chief Engineer for many years before co-founding REFAST Consulting in 1990. Evans is a Corporate Member of the Ghana Institution of Engineers, a Marine Consultant, a Government of Ghana Marine Surveyor and Examiner of Engineers. He has served on the Ministerial Advisory Board to the Ministry of Environment, Science and Technology in Ghana and is also Chairman of SMTC Global Ghana Ltd, providing safety training to the offshore oil and gas industry.
He served as President of the International Association for Impact Assessment (IAIA) Ghana from 2004-2011. Evans has been actively involved in international consultancy work for the last 30 years particularly in the area of Environmental Impact Assessment, project management and other related projects. Evans is specialised as Team Leader/ Project Manager for major project assignments including World Bank, DFID, JICA and other funded projects. He has significant experience in dealing with funding agencies, regulatory institutions, government agencies and district assemblies to ensure timely completion of assignments and securing relevant Permits/Certificates.
