Aaron, also originally a seafarer by profession, served as Master Mariner on-board international seagoing vessels before joining the Regional Maritime University in Accra as a Lecturer, eventually rising to the office of Rector, in which he served for 12 years. He is one of the founding partners of REFAST Consulting and brings to bare his extensive experience in maritime education and training, marine surveying, commercial ship management strategy and other technical maritime expertise.
Aaron is a founding member of the Ghana Chamber of Shipping and the Chairman of Marine Consult (the consulting wing of the Regional Maritime University). Aaron holds a Master of Science degree from the World Maritime University and was awarded Doctor of Letters, Honoris Causa by the Regional Maritime University in 2019 for his exemplary services to the University, and the Maritime Industry in Ghana and the West and Central African sub-region. He is a Nautical Examiner and Surveyor of Ships for the Ghana Maritime Authority, and a Ships Inspector for the Bureau of Maritime Affairs, Republic of Liberia. He is an external examiner for the Regional Maritime University and the School of Graduate Studies, University of Ghana. He is a fellow of the Ghana Institute of Marine Surveyors.
