Marine Surveys & Inspections

For 30 years, REFAST has undertaken different kinds of marine surveys and inspections for various clients including shipping companies and their affiliates. REFAST has consistently handled all assignments, exercising the requisite due diligence in consonance with local regulations and the relevant international protocols governing the marine industry.

2012 – present –  marine survey services to ships under GMT Shipping Agency in Tema.   

2010 – present – Surveys of bulk cement imports for Messrs DANGOTE/GREENVIEW Ghana Ltd.

2009 – Marine Superintendence services for Unique Trust Ltd.

2008 – Marine Superintendence and Survey for Unique Trust Ltd for a consignment of 15,000 MT of Yellow Maize.

2008 – Survey of consignments of Gas Cylinders in Containers for export. 

2007 – present – marine surveys and consultancy services for CONSHIP LTD. 

2006 – present –  sub-contractors to carry out Surveys for SGS Ghana.

2003 –  Fleet evaluation project on behalf of TTV Ltd involving a detailed assessment of the condition of all the ships in the company’s assets.

Refast provided Consultancy support to Ghana Telecom during the implementation of the SAT-3 under-sea optic fibre project.

1999 – present – Refast has been engaged to carry out various machinery damage surveys on behalf of local insurance companies.

1998 – CIDA Food Aid Programme –Marine Surveyors to supervise the delivery of 13,500 MT of Canadian Wheat to 3 Flour Mills in Ghana. 

Refast has carried out Fire and Damage Surveys for the Salvage Association, UK.
